Songs For Me
Nobody writes songs for me anymore,
Where did it go, why didn't I hop on board?
Well I know the world's changin'
And our lives need rearrangin'
And the things that I've done that I once thought were fun
Don't seem to be fun anymore
Verse:
Where my life has gone, I really could not say
I've been living my life just making it from day to day
Then I opened up my eyes, just in time to realize
That the places I've been and the time they were in
Are just memories anymore
Chorus:
Well before my time has come, it's been here and it's gone
I need to hear just good clean music with lyrics to make me cry
Or make me high
Or make me high
Bridge:
Repeat Chorus:
Verse:
Well I've seen a lot more than some I guess
But compared to some, well I've seen a lot less
But the world keeps on changin'
And our lives keep rearrangin'
And the people I loved we just stay out of touch
And we live in our memories
Repeat Chorus:
Or make me high X4
End:

Short Song Description:
I was given a large number of artist
that I felt this song could be compared to,but
my choice was not on the list.
I feel Jackson Browne could have done this
song justice
|
Long Song Description:
This was supposed to be a Piano song, but as
you can hear it became a guitar song.
It was moving along the track I chose untill I
played the drums. At that point there was no turning back.
|
Story Behind the Song:
This is about a couple of friends of mine,
and the fact that we drifted so far
apart after being so close. The thing that brought us together was our taste in music.
This song was a finalist in the "Song of the Year"
